Job Description


An Office Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of essential business functions that may include:  Admitting and Billing functions, Check In/Out activities, Medical Records facilitation, Cashiering, Communications, Pre-Certifications and Managed Care Referral verification.



Education: High School plus specialized training (6 months-2 years)



Experience Required: 6 months-1 year



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




  • Six months-one year of business office experience in a health care environment in billing, customer service, insurance, or collections preferred.


  • Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding requirements for billing preparation.



Shift: Varied

FTE: 1.0

Hours Per 2 Week Pay Period: 80
