Job Description

Provides assistance and security to patients, employees, and visitors. Ensures the hospital’s buildings, assets, parking lots, and grounds are safe/secure and monitored for hazards, vulnerabilities, damages, etc. Coordinates work schedules and implements core staffing for Security Officers, Campus Receptionists, Valet Attendants, Leads, and Couriers for all shifts. Assists with the following processes:  recruitment, training, disciplinary actions, recordkeeping, etc. Investigates incidents that occur on hospital property and ensures appropriate reporting and follow up actions take place. This position will also assist with managing the following systems:  Access control, surveillance, infant/child security, emergency preparedness, etc. In addition, will assist with various Security Management, Environment of Care, and Emergency Preparedness activities, and will serve as a project manager at times.
  • Education:  Associate Degree (related field preferred)
  • Licensure Required:
    • Degree (related field preferred)
    • Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:
    • Strong reading and writing skills are required.
    • Ability to comprehend instructions and material in English.
    • Ability to work with confidential information.
    • Adequate experience with operating two-way radio equipment, computers, various computer-based programs, surveillance and access control systems, etc.
    • Must possess physical ability to assist nursing staff with combative individuals.
    • Knowledge in emails, voicemails, copy machines, etc.
  • Experience Required:  2 to 3 years
