Human Resources – Compensation & Retirement Internship
We are looking for junior-status college student looking to gain experience in compensation and retirement benefits. The ideal candidate will be able to work year-round for a total of 10 to 20 hours per week.
The qualifications for this position are the following:
- Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or related field
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team; self-motivated, and has strong organizational and time-management skills
The core responsibilities of this position are the following:
- Retirement administration including updating contribution elections and communication and calculation of pension benefits to those eligible
- Assist in compliance testing for various benefits
- Moving all pension files to an electronic filing system
- Participate in salary benchmarking surveys
- Assist in analyzing market survey information to support System initiatives as it relates to recruiting, retention, and compensation
- Assist in the calculation and implementation of the annual performance increases
- Assists with other special projects as assigned
