Compensation Analyst Intern

Human Resources – Compensation & Retirement Internship

We are looking for junior-status college student looking to gain experience in compensation and retirement benefits.  The ideal candidate will be able to work year-round for a total of 10 to 20 hours per week. 

The qualifications for this position are the following:

• Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or related field
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as a team; self-motivated, and has strong organizational and time-management skills

The core responsibilities of this position are the following:

• Retirement administration including updating contribution elections and communication and calculation of pension benefits to those eligible
• Assist in compliance testing for various benefits
• Moving all pension files to an electronic filing system
• Participate in salary benchmarking surveys
• Assist in analyzing market survey information to support System initiatives as it relates to recruiting, retention, and compensation
• Assist in the calculation and implementation of the annual performance increases
• Assists with other special projects as assigned
