POSITION PURPOSE
- The Payroll System Analyst provides expertise in the payroll, timekeeping, and advanced scheduling systems supporting the payroll team, managers, and employees throughout the System. The key responsibilities include as it relates to this various system is to update the system when upgrades are available, system maintenance, provide and maintain security access, and troubleshooting any issues. This position is also responsible for all labor reporting and analysis for the System, including but not limited to, compliance labor reporting, routine labor reporting, and ad hoc labor reporting requests. In addition, this position will assist in payroll auditing, be a back-up to the payroll lead, support payroll quarterly and yearend activities, and responsible for the payroll tax reconciliation. The position requires a strong background payroll processing and payroll/timekeeping systems, excellent analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.

- Bachlelor’s Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret data.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve any issues relating to system functionality.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manager multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English to establish a working relationship with end users and interpret manuals.
- Knowledge and experience with various computer programs/software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), HRIS (Ultimate Kronos Group preferred), time recording system (Dimensions preferred), advanced scheduling (Dimensions preferred) and the Internet are desired.
- Experience in auditing payroll information for accuracy and ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures is desired.
- Experience with payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling upgrades and implementation of new modules relating to these areas is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills to effectively train all levels of staff within the System on the payroll, timekeeping and advanced scheduling systems.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- The physical, technical and cognitive ability to operate the following office equipment: photocopier, computer, fax, digital camera and calculator.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain the payroll, timekeeping and scheduling systems to ensure accuracy of data, security access is maintained, internal procedures are being followed as expected and ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and employment laws and regulations.
- In collaboration with the payroll, timekeeping and scheduling vendor, update the systems to ensure compliance and implement new functionality determined to create efficiency within our internal procedures.
- Document all processes relating to the payroll, timekeeping and scheduling system to effectively be able to train end-users on best practices.
- Timely responds to inquires relating to the payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling systems’ functionalities.
- Troubleshoots any issues that may arise with the payroll, timekeeping, and scheduling system in a timely manner.
- Timely reporting of various payroll labor reports, including, but not limited to, Labor Distribution, Incentive Pay Reporting, and other reports as requested.
- Timely reporting of any compliance reporting relating to labor.
- Assists in the auditing of timecards, final review of payroll calculations, and changes that would impact payroll processing on an as needed basis.
- Performs audits to ensure payroll data integrity.
- Performs payroll tax reconciliation to ensure accuracy of tax reporting.
